"Very useful! You are there to help and guide them but theu can use ICT and feel updated and involved. It was a very good experience."

Le prospettive sono senza dubbio positive; la metodologia combierebbe (e dovrebbe cambiare) notevolmente ma è assolutamenete necessario aumentare il numero delle postazioni (computers ed internet)a disposizione degli alunni e naturalmente dei docenti.

Problem of getting PCs for students to work on. Problem of students being able to make sense of the information available and judge what is useful. Problem of students and teachers having enough knowledge of ICT techniques to make full use of computing.

Were there positive features of the project for your school, and if so, what were they?

 


Comments included:

Yes there were. The project involved teachers of different subjects, such as History, Design, Informatics, and English.
Students feel like belonging to a bigger community and that the community makes an enormous effort to improve teaching quality.

Staff development for staff involved
Use of ICT to enhance learning and student interest
Sharing with other staff

Use of new technologies
Learning languages.

Dopo le prime difficoltà organizzative e di accettazione sia da parte di alcuni docenti e degli studenti, abbiamo notato una crescita dell’interesse sia da parte degli studenti che da parte degli stessi docenti scettici. Il dialogo tra studenti delle scuole coinvolte ha dato risultati positivi, ha arricchito l’uso della lingua (inglese) ed ha stimolato una maggiore apertura al confronto. L’attività pratica ed organizzativa ha introdotto metodi di lavoro nuovi per la nostra scuola.

Comments included:

No I don’t think so. But we should always try to do better in order to improve.

From school/college perspective - very little
Minimal time required out of college time. Work and travel in staff own time.

Lessons lost in ordinary classes

The project was limited to some classes and not to the whole school

All projects are useful. They incentive cooperation between teachers of different subjects as well as between students. New topics were included in curriculum especially in History.

Use of ICT to aid learning/presentation of materials etc.
Engaging adult returners students (disadvantaged)
Encouraged development of new methods

Shared practice with other staff - internally, plus European contacts

ICT. dayly use of emails, web sites, etc.
Presentations on Power Point as something usual for students and teachers

Si. Ha contribuito ad un coinvolgimento da parte dei più deboli, ha introdotto un metodo di studio telematico mettendo in discussione il metodo di studio classico della nostra scuola. H a aperto nuovi sipari di conoscenze europee a molti studenti, dando loro la possibilità di partecipare alla trasformazione storica dell’Europa.

4. Would you lend your support to another Comenius project based on your experience of this one?

We develop Comenius Projects here in school for several years because we consider them very useful not only for school but especially for students. They contact with different people and perspectives and that is very good for their personnel development and as well for their job careers.

Certamente si, in prima persona ho partecipato a degli incontri di lavoro sia in sede, che all’estero, e mi impegnerò a continuare l’esperienza Comenius soprattutto ora che sta aumentando l’interesse e la partecipazione nel nostro Istituto.

5. Do you have any other comments you would like to make about the project?
 


Comments included:

All teachers and students involved in this project were unanimous in telling that is was very positive developing the tasks proposed for the project.

Too much burocracy on the financial part
Not too much dissemination of the contents of the Project for the rest of teachers and students not directly involved in the Project

Mi piacerebbe arrivare a programmare l’attività scolastiche partendo dai Progetti Europei. Ampliare le tematiche possibilmente a 360° potrebbe essere una soluzione. Esonerare un docente dall’insegnamento, per ogni scuola, con il compito di coordinare tutte le attività comenius e dei diversi Progetti Europei.
