Heroes and Cultural Identity Project
The End of a Successful Project!
May 24, 2009
The "Heroes and Cultural Identity" Project has now come to a close. We hope that everyone involved in the project enjoyed taking part in it and made many new friends from across Europe. This web site will remain as a reminder of the fantastic work that was carried out by all of you and a memento of all the events that took place over the three years.
Project Evaluation
May 24, 2009
An evaluation of the project has been carried out to provide evidence for national agencies and to enable teachers and students to reflect on what they have done in the project. An evaluation questionnaire was issued to those taking part in the project and teachers and students were also asked to reflect on their experiences. The results were collated and presented at Rome by the coordinator.

International Cultural Identity Competition
November 24, 2008
In
this final year of the project, each college/school has submitted 10 words
that describe the Cultural Identity of their country and the people that
live there.
As part of the project we are running a competition based on these words.
All you have to do is try to identify which words are associated with
which country. For example, which country is associated with the word
'Solidarity'? Or how about 'Gardening'?
There are prizes for one person from each of the 6 schools taking part who gets the highest score.
To find out more, and download a competition form, go to the Fun & games area of this website
Best contributions in the Cultural Identity Forum
April 22, 2008
Over
the past few months, students in this project have given their views on
three important questions about Cultural Identity using the discussion
forum of this web site. Teachers from all the schools and some of their
students selected the most interesting answers and from these, one student
from each school was chosen for having produced the best overall contribution.
They are:
Paweł Gładysz from Poland for his contributions on Globalisation and National Stereotypes
Gul Autmanzai from Norway for his contribution on Multiculturalism
S Laurenzi from Italy for his contributions on Globalisation, National Stereotypes and Multiculturalism
Lucia Kobetičová and Kateřina Bereczová from Slovakia for their joint contributions on Globalisation and National Stereotypes
Very many congratulations to our four winners and, of course, to everyone who took part.
...and whilst here, why not read why one Polish student thinks the forum is such a good idea in the General Discussion forum.
Reflections on the project
