Gala Competition: Warsaw, 19-20 December 2008

Daria Kałużna, Karolina Grobelna and Wiktoria Schoenborn from Gimnazjum Nr 1 in Gdynia came third in the all-Poland competition for the report "Europe of many cultures". The students wrote their reflections on Turkish and Norwegian cultures. Daria, Karolina and Wiktoria were invited by the European Commission Agency in Warsaw to take part in a two-day gala. They met Danuta Hubner - the European Commissioner for Regional Policy and Róża Thun - the Principal of the European Commission in Poland. The students learnt more about the European Commission and the commissioners' work. They also took part in a "Warsaw by night" trip. It was a great experience for the students not only for the prizes, but also for the opportunity to meet the European authorities.
